RTM Now is operated by Block Management Ltd, an established property agent which has successfully obtained Right to Manage for clients across England and Wales since the introduction of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
As owners of leasehold property ourselves, we understand how effective a well run management company can improve a development and with Government not fundamentally changing or abolishing leasehold anytime soon, the time to get Right to Manage is now.
The Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 granted leaseholders the right to manage their building without the requirement to prove wrong-doings by the landlord or managing agent.
If successful, the RTM company may take on the functions of the landlord and place its own insurance, contractors and other service providers such as a managing agent of its own choice rather than be obliged to accept the service of the landlord.
Once the eligibility is met, the statutory process will take will take around 4-5 months.
